Reaching old age is not synonymous with disappearing, no one has the right to belittle another person for the mere fact of being older. As if being older is something shameful that leaves you without rights against the rest of society, this is inadmissible. It is about creating awareness in society, so that everyone is aware of this happening, because looking the other way and doing nothing is just a way of allowing this to happen.

Teach children, respect your elders

Respect your Elders

Everything you instill in your children, all the values you educate them on today, will influence tomorrow. Children grow up as caring, respectful, empathetic, socially conscious adults is a fundamental task of fathers and mothers. Children must learn to respect older people, starting with those closest to them, their parents, their grandparents, their teachers at school, but also the older people who may be in their way.

Respect for others is essential for all people. But, older people deserve more respect because they have struggled to leave a better world for those who come behind. Therefore, they deserve to live the last stage of their lives comfortably, respected, and valued as the most. However, this is not true in all cases, and on too many occasions, the elderly receive offensive and humiliating treatment.

Respect your Elders:How to teach children, the first thing is the example

The best way to teach children is by example, everything they see in you is what they will end up repeating. There is no use looking for ways to teach children, whether it is respect for the elderly or any other lesson. If later they do not see that you yourself act according to what you instill in them, they will soon end up repeating your mistakes. Therefore, always and under all circumstances, be respectful of the elderly.

Avoid making comments in front of children, things that are done many times without giving importance, but that permeates children. Try not to accuse older people of making mistakes simply because they are old, they drive with a little caution, queue up at the supermarket, or do something inappropriate. These behaviors are not a consequence of being older, and therefore cannot be generalized.

Because if you use in front of your children that being older is the cause of all ills, they will be disrespectful to all the older ones. Including his parents and grandparents once the case arises. Be nice to older people, especially when your children are in front. Do not make derogatory or humiliating comments towards the elders, even if you do it without evil, your children may understand it the wrong way.

And most importantly, teach your children to respect all people equally, because that is the first step.
